Dr. Beitchman and our team base your orthodontic treatment on individualized attention and customized treatment, no matter the type of braces you choose.
It takes time to achieve a great smile. Most of our patients have braces or other appliances between six months and three years depending on the amount of tooth movement wanted. Whether you choose traditional metal braces, aesthetic clear braces, or Invisalign® clear aligners, you’ll need to visit Dr. Beitchman at our San Antonio or Boerne, TX orthodontic office every six to 12 weeks so he can monitor your progress.
Traditional Metal Braces
Today's metal braces are much smaller then they use to be but still offer the best alignment that can be done with today's treatment. While they are made of high-grade stainless steel, traditional braces still allow you to express your individual style. You can dress them up with all sorts of colors and patterns. Any patient is an ideal candidate for traditional metal braces at Beitchman Orthodontics, especially those with deep overbites or severe crowding.
Clear (Ceramic) Braces
Clear (ceramic) braces are the most aesthetic bracket and wire orthodontic treatment on the market. We use a high-grade porcelain appliance, which is much more durable and doesn't stain. We have even had a number of patients wear them for important life events, such as wedding pictures, and you can't even tell they have them on! Ideal candidates for clear braces are those who are willing to take a little extra care when eating and during oral hygiene.
Clear Aligners
Over the last 15 years, clear aligners like Invisalign have been shown to be effective in treating mild to moderate orthodontic cases. They use a series of plastic appliances to move teeth incrementally until they’ve settled into straightened positions. Patients who choose clear aligners must be highly motivated. The ideal candidate must be compliant in wearing these appliances 22 hours per day to achieve ideal results.
